Accessibility

John Pounds Community Trust

At John Pounds Community Centre, we are committed to offering accessibility to all our members. We have a comprehensive disability policy, which incorporates access, signage and staff training.

We have completed an accessibility audit of all the centre and have reviewed our operations from the perspective of members with different types of disability, including those who are partially sighted and hard of hearing. Our aim is to achieve access for all, where reasonably practicable.

We are happy to provide free admission to our centre for one carer accompanying a disabled member.

Wheelchair users and customers with restricted mobility
Full or restricted wheelchair access is available at the centre, with two lifts allowing access to the first floor.

Blind or partially sighted members
Guide dogs are welcome at all times at all of our clubs.

Deaf and hard of hearing customers-the meeting rooms now have hearing loops. Also reception has an integrated hearing loop system and we also have two portable hearing loops that are available at all times. Hearing dogs are welcome at all times at all of our clubs.
