Conference Facilities
The John Pounds Centre is probably the finest conference centre in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic facility for hosting conferences, events, exhibitions, sporting events, meetings or training sessions. When choosing the John Pounds Centre for your next conference, you can rest assured that your day will run efficiently. The Events Manager will liaise with you from when you first book your conference through to the end. This will ensure the day is a great success.
The centre has a variety of meeting rooms, two conference halls, computer suite and breakout areas.
- The large conference hall facilitates up to 350 delegates theatre style.
- The Meeting and Board Rooms seat from eight to thirty delegates. These rooms are ideal for breakout areas.
- The Small Hall is suitable for thirty to one hundred delegates.
- The Computer Suite has fifteen computers available for I.T. training purposes alternatively the room can be used for meeting. The suite also has a built in interactive whiteboard for presentations.
- The centre can supply your conference/meeting with all the audio visual equipment required.
- Refreshments and catering is provided by ‘Cobblers Caterers’ offering a wide choice of menus to suit all requirements and dietary needs.
- Childcare facilities are also available from ‘Tops Tots’ nursery who can provide OFSTED registered care by the hour or all day.
The centre also offers Team Building days. These are great fun and suitable for all abilities. Our qualified team will accommodate your individual requirements, whether you spend the morning in a conference/meeting the afternoon enjoying the team building exercises or the whole day team building, we have something for everyone!
Here are some ideas that your team can enjoy: Pottery, Circuits, Sports Day Games, Spin biking, Problem Solving challenges, Fencing, Trampolining. Team Away Day prices will vary depending on your choices of activities and will include a coordinator.

We will meet regularly from the day you book through to your main event ensuring all your unique requirements are met.
Cobblers Cafe offers an exstensive menu for all requirements, you can even devise your own personal menu.
