Easily accessible from local Road & Rail links, it is the ideal venue to hold an event or join in any of the regular centre activities. Transport to the Centre ROAD: traveling into Portsmouth we are easily accessible by road. The M275 leads straight into the heart of the city and then follow the brown signs for ‘Historic Waterfront’. Queen Street is the main road that leads down to the Historic Dockyard. PARK & RIDE: The M275 Park & Ride service has a drop-off/pick-up point at either Queen Street East, or the Hard Interchange by Gunwharf – both a simple 5 minute walk to the John Pounds Centre RAIL: nearest train station is Portsmouth Harbour – a simple 5 minute walk to the John Pounds Centre – with good connections to London and the West. Cycling: There are 30 bicycle-parking available on-site BUS: Access to the John Pounds Centre by bus is extremely good, with 30 different routes from all over the city stopping close by. Car Parking Reception staff will be pleased to advise you on parking options if you ring in advance. There is free parking from 5pm close by to the centre . Alternatively to park in the Portsea area a permit can be purchased in the centre (£1.15 for 12 hours). You can alternatively use the mobile RingGO service for Portsea parking Zone JA or JD. There is no on-site car parking for the centre but lots of public car parking is within 5 minutes walking distance.
